Belle's

Guess what Belle had for me today:
Yup...more doily thread! Well, I'll take it. I also borrowed a bunch of doily patterns from her to copy...so I will have plenty to do in the evenings. :)
Here is the progress on my black doily:
I'm almost out of thread and there are supposed to be 10 more rows so I'm either going to do one more round, making up a finish or else add a color to the outside. I think I'll probably just make up a finish. I'm not sure how I could like color on it. But you never know...might be cool. :)

Anyway...hope your all having a lovely Wednesday...I'm off to do some tidying up and then mum and I are having a girl's night.

"Without thread, the world would be chaos..."

Last week my mom and I went to our friend Belle's house to visit and crochet like we try to go do with her every week. I love going to see her because she inspires me so much and she's such a sweetheart and we always have tea and fig newton's. The past several times I've gone I've taken my knitting but last week I thought I'd try and use up some of my doily thread and make some doilies. So this is the problem. Belle saw that I was crocheting with smaller thread and it reminded her she had a whole box of small thread she didn't like to use and she gave it to me. Oh the irritating bliss. Because I couldn't say no. I mean look at how beautiful they are...
So I'm going to be making a lot of doilies. But I think I'm strangely okay with that.

Miss you...

Today I've been thinking a lot about my friend Heidi. (if your reading this...don't kill me for the photos please) I miss her loads. It's been far too long since I've seen her.
I first met her when I moved in next door to her house on a farm in Coburg. She was seven, I was eleven. We were inseparable and had many adventures together. Everything from being prairie girls to stealing green beans and having cabbage fights on the farm. We rode our bikes everywhere and I wish I had a 1/4 of the energy now that I did then.
So many books could be written about those days. But right now I just want to send a hug out to you, love. It's amazing how long we've stuck together even through long distances. Let's be friends forever okay? Love you. :)
Look forward to a chat and coffee date with you one day in the hopefully not to far off future.
xxxxAnna

Wednesday

Visited Belle today and:
Admired all the baby hats she's been making.
Wound my big mob of yarn into balls.
Made one fingerless glove for my Etsy shop.
Listened to Marty Robbins on casset tape.
Drank tea and ate fig newtons.
Talked about Revelation.
Came home with a bag full of yarn to figure out what to do with.

Tomorrow it's back to work.

Seaside

While visiting Ella we took a day trip to my favorite Oregon Coast town Seaside:

It's been 10 month since I have seen the sea...and even longer since I've seen the west coast.

Seagulls here aren't as fiendish as those evil Cornish birds were. :) You can read about my tragic experience last year with seagulls HERE.

But these lil birds are quite chummy. :) I like them.

*sigh* "Is there any felicity in the world superior to this?"

I stinkin' love this place...I seriously might move here one day. Or else become a frequent visitor. :)

Farewell Seaside...we shall miss you....
