A Birthday Present...

My good friend in England turned 27 last month and I finally got around to finishing his birthday present today!

I made him a messenger bag, which I'm quite proud of as it has a zipper and adjustable strap. :)

I lined it with gray fabric, thanks to my good friend Beck, for her input! ;)

I hand embroidered the logo for his church Oasis Cornwall. You can check them out here. I also embroidered his name in the corner so no one else can use it. ;)

I'm going to ship it off tomorrow and then finish his brother's present! I'll share pictures of that when it's finished. :)

While We're Waiting...

We've listed our house for sale! Now we just have to wait and pray for it to sell before we can move. I'm actually enjoying this time we're here in Oregon even though I long to be in Cornwall. God's been teaching me to be content with the task in front of me...it's been awesome. :)
In my spare moments between the busy ones, I've been trying to finish up some old projects.
I'm also working on a couple birthday presents, which I'll post pictures of when they're finished!
So all in all, I'm quite happy to be where God has me in this moment.

Life is good. :)

Lately...

Life has been crazy lately with work, packing, house sitting, and fitting in as many visits with friends as possible knowing we soon shall be moving. But, life's been good. :)
I am almost done packing...just a bit more to go. It's hard to be patient, but I'm enjoying living where I'm at for the moment.
I've been reading the book of Acts and have been so encouraged by it as we will soon be heading over to help a new church. I pray God will give us the boldness of the disciples as well as compassion and love. I know God has amazing plans for us, if we are willing to grasp hold of His promises and let all fear slip away. We just need to focus on Him, believe Him, then what have we to fear? I'm so excited to see God glorified!

Gassworks Park...

Aimee took me to Gassworks Park where they filmed the paintball scene in the movie "10 Things I Hate About You." I wanted to sing "I love You Baby" in memory of Heath Ledger...but she didn't want to. ;)

We will miss you Heath Ledger!

Lovely view:

My darling sister Aimee:

Now I'm off to watch "10 Things I Hate About You". *sigh* How sad it will be.

Moving Aimee...

Journey in the Snow...

On Monday we headed up to Seattle to help Aimee move. It was such a beautiful drive!

Pilot Butte:
Very Narnian woods:

I was listening to Lord of the Rings soundtrack when we drove by this, so it made me think of something out of Lord of the Rings. ;)
The snow came up to the signs!
Hollinder, my dear ipod nano, made the journey even more lovely with his mood music. ;) He played lots of soundtracks. Narnia (of course), Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, The Patriot, The Village, it all got me in a mood to sew costumes. haha
And then the beautiful Narnian winter melted into spring as we got closer to Seattle:
No more snow. :(

It Snowed...

This morning I woke up, the ground was dry...within a few hours we had about a foot of snow. Crazy!
Some guys from church were supposed to come out and help dad build a railing for the deck, despite the snow they came! What warriors. :)
They brought their sons who had quite a blast playing with Cale in the snow. I thought it was so cute I just had to share some pictures.

Cale, enjoying the snow:

You'll always find boys up trees: :)

Cale, loving her new playmate:

After some hard play, the boys came in and watched Cars. I thought it was cute they all piled in the same chair. :)
Ah, the joys of childhood.
