The Weekend

I spent the weekend with Becks, housesitting for some friends of ours...it was really fun. :)

We watched Planet Earth every night...which is AMAZING...but can be scary when one leaves me to drift off to dream land and I'm left alone watching sharks and other creepy sea creatures alone. Somehow it's scary when your alone.
Saturday Beckah made and amazing breakfast:

Mmmm...pancakes and bacon and cream of wheat and orange juice.
And Maple Syrup!
We enjoyed Jenny's piano. :)
After breakfast, a walk, hot tub, and a shower Beckah made lunch:

And I made chocolate chip cookies!

Then we watched more movies, Fool's Gold...Phantom of the Opera (which makes me weep)

Sunday my family came over and we watched Wives and Daughters.

And that was my weekend. It was wonderful. :)

Movie Night & Toadstool Cupcakes

I have quite a bit of catching up to do as I have loads of pictures to share from the whole weekend. But I'll start with Thursday night our weekly movie night with the Delery's.
We watched Iron Man and I made cupcakes...


I had to take pictures so you would believe me, since I don't normally voluntarily cook or bake anything.

Going Through Some Sewing Stuff

We have a box of old wooden spools of thread passed down from my grandma and from people who have given us boxes of unwanted sewing stuff over the years. I just think they're so cool. :)

So many wonderful colors:
I also have some really beautiful shell buttons which we inherited from my great great grandmother. I keep them in this little jelly jar.
Then there's this really cool needle case that was also my great great grandmother's.

And who doesn't love beeswax? Especially when it says what it is so one doesn't forget. ;)

Anyway...there's just a few of my favorite sewing things. :) Just thought you'd like to see them.

Yesterday...

I finished this little jumper yesterday and put it in my etsy shop.

It even has little acorn buttons. :)

I got to see Cheri! :D

And I splurged on a magazine and a new sketchbook. :)

Alice in Cornwall...

Tim Burton is making a new version of Alice in Wonderland and it's being filmed in my own beloved Cornwall!

So exciting! And Johnny Depp is playing the Mad Hatter. haha So exciting.

Good Times With Friends...

and some mint chocolate chip ice cream. Yay for movie nights with the Delery's! :)
